A Pill for Every Ill? Why True Healing Starts at the Cellular Level
In my decades of practicing medicine, I have seen the limitations of the traditional approach. Too often, the system is designed to offer “a pill for every ill.”
In my opinion, this approach often benefits the pharmaceutical companies manufacturing those meds more than the person taking them. Why? Because the human body does not recognize “diagnoses” or insurance codes. Those are just labels providers use to describe a deviation from the norm.
The body deals with something much deeper: Cellular Energy.
The Powerhouse of Your Health
To understand true healing, we have to look at the mitochondria—the powerhouses of energy within your cells. To function optimally, your cells don’t need synthetic drugs; they need a specific environment:
- Minimum levels of oxygen.
- Essential vitamins and minerals.
- The right fuel (balanced sugars and fats).
- Powerful antioxidants.
When we simply prescribe medication to lower a number—like blood pressure or cholesterol—we are often just masking the problem, not correcting it. Think about it: Nowhere is there a “lack of pharmaceuticals” that triggers a disease process. You don’t get sick because your body is “low on medication.” You get sick because your cellular function is compromised.
A Story of Transformation
I want to share a case I know of personally. A woman was suffering from dangerously high blood pressure (in the 200s over 100) and high cholesterol. She was on several drugs, yet she seemed to be getting worse, not better.
She decided to take an active role in her care. She told her doctor she wanted to try a holistic approach.
She made three key changes:
- She adjusted her diet and activity level to lose weight.
- She began using phototherapy, a natural wellness device that acts at the cellular level.
- She committed to giving her body what it needed to regenerate.
The result? Today, her blood pressure is a healthy 100/58, and her cholesterol is normal. What is more, she is no longer taking medication for either of these problems.
Note: I am not advocating that people should abandon all medical therapy immediately, and results vary for everyone. However, a balanced holistic approach is usually very beneficial.
Learn from Nature
My most impactful advice to you is to study Nature. Look at how regeneration is a part of life.
Our bodies have the miraculous capacity to regenerate, but only if we trigger the right processes—like autophagy, where the body cleans out damaged cells to function more efficiently. This can be triggered by adequate sleep, proper nutrition, and even intermittent fasting.
If we give our bodies all of what they need and none of what they do not, healing is not just possible; it is natural.
