My Top 5 Tools for a Vibrant Life

A master carpenter cannot build a house without a hammer, and a gardener cannot cultivate a bloom without a trowel. The same is true for our health.

While our bodies are miraculously designed to heal themselves, they often need a little help—a set of tools to unlock their full potential.

Welcome back to the gazebo for our final chat in this series. Today, I want to open my personal wellness toolbox and share the Top 5 Tools I use to stay sharp, energetic, and “age backward.”

1. Food for the Soul: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Wellness begins in the mind and spirit. If we don’t appreciate the vessel we live in, we won’t take care of it.

My favorite book on this subject is “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made” by Dr. Paul Brand and Philip Yancey.

Dr. Brand was a surgeon who worked with leprosy patients, and his insights into the human body are nothing short of spiritual. Reading this book reminds me that we are not just biological machines; we are intricate, divine creations. It changes the way you look at your own hands, your skin, and your pain. It is a must-read for anyone on a healing journey.

2. The Alphabet of Health: Vitamin C

We need the first five letters of the alphabet in our vitamins (A, B, C, D, and E), but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be Vitamin C.

Here is the catch: The human body does not manufacture Vitamin C. Unlike most animals, we cannot make it on our own. We must obtain it from our diet every single day.

Vitamin C is the “mortar” that holds our cells together. It is essential for collagen production (hello, healthy skin and joints!), it boosts our immune system, and it acts as a powerful antioxidant to protect us from rusting on the inside (oxidative stress).

My tips for Vitamin C:

  • Eat the Rainbow: Reach for citrus, kiwis, strawberries, and red bell peppers.
  • Keep it Fresh: Vitamin C is sensitive to heat. Eat your fruits raw or lightly steamed to get the full benefit.

3. The Joy of Movement: My Pickleball Paddle

Exercise should never feel like a punishment. It should feel like play!

My physical tool of choice is my pickleball paddle. Why? Because it combines aerobic exercise with genuine fun and social connection. When you are laughing and chasing a ball, you forget you are “working out.” You are simply moving, and movement is life.

4. The Light of Youth: The X39 Patch

I was introduced to this wellness technology in 2020, and I am so glad I was. Since I started using the LifeWave X39 Patch, I feel younger, stronger, and mentally clearer.

How does it work? Think of the sun. When sunlight hits your skin, it signals your body to produce Vitamin D. You don’t get a “download” of Vitamin D from the sun; the light is simply the signal.

The X39 patch works on this same principle of phototherapy (light therapy).

Our bodies emit light (infrared) that can be seen through night-vision goggles. The X39 patch contains minute crystals that reflect this light back into the body. This specific wavelength acts as a signal for the body to produce GHK-Cu (copper peptide).

Discovered by Dr. Loren Pickart in the 1970s, copper peptide is known to activate your stem cells. Since stem cells are the repairmen of the body, this helps reset multiple genes back to a state of health.

No chemicals or medicines are entering your body—just light, signaling your body to do what it does best: heal.

5. The River of Life: Deliberate Hydration

Finally, we circle back to where we started. My fifth tool is simply water.

I deliberately hydrate myself every day. While I enjoy tea and soups, and I get fluids from eating water-rich vegetables, nothing replaces the act of drinking fresh, pure water. It is the river that carries nutrients to your cells and washes away what no longer serves you.

Your Turn to Build

These are the tools that work for me, but I encourage you to build your own toolbox. Whether it is a new sport, a spiritual book, or exploring the power of light therapy, the most important step is the first one.

Which of these tools resonates most with you today?

Thank you for joining me in the gazebo for this series. Here’s to your health, your purpose, and your beautiful life.
